Rules of the Burning Eye
These are the rules of the Burning Eye:
1. IGNORANCE OF THE RULES IS NO EXCUSE!
2. Your presence here is a PRIVILEGE not a right. This privilege may be revoked at any time without reason or warning.
3. Multi-linking is strictly prohibited. If you are caught, you will be Vaped. Period. Please note rule 1. (help multi_linking)
4. Alt abuse will not be tolerated. This includes, but not limited to, using an alt for revenge, storage character, or gaining information that otherwise would not be available. (help alt-abuse)
5. Exploiting bugs, rather than reporting them, will bring extreme wrath from the Valar. This is an offence worthy of being denied access to the Mud.
6. Sexual or racial harassment will not be tolerated. Interpretation of this rule is left to the Immortals and players involved, but in general show a little consideration to your fellow players. (note: players, not characters)
7. Botting or sitting idle for long periods is frowned upon. Hours do not affect experience so there is little point, but if you are caught, expect a random transfer or worse.
8. Using recall items on any player, including killers, thieves, and criminals without their express permission to do so, is strictly forbidden. Anyone caught will be toasted.
9. We are an age-friendly MUD. Foul language is not tolerated on open channels and this is NOT an online sex chat room.
10. Advertising or giving out another MUD’s IP address will not be tolerated. To do so can result in vaping of your character and possible siteban.
11. If an immortal (Valar or Maiar) asks you to do (or not do) something – listen. Do NOT ‘rules-lawyer’ with them or question them over public chans. Note Eru or Aule if you have issues with any of the immortal staff.
Changes to these rules are at the discretion of the Immortals, and may be done without warning, notice or evidence of sanity.
