Alt abuse / alt-abuse rules

Alt abuse is using one of your characters for the gain of another.  This includes but not limited to:

1.  Logging an alt on to get revenge for another one of your characters.

2.  Using an alt to gain information that you otherwise wouldn’t be privileged to.  ie, to see what the other clans are doing and planning.

3.  Signing on an alt to make a pkill that you couldn’t or wouldn’t do with the character that was currently on.

4.  Using a character for storage of equipment.

5.  Passing off equipment from one character to another.  They are two separate people in Arda with no interaction with each other.  Treat them as such.

6.  Passing off, stashing, or having a third party hold equipment for you while you recreate.  The equipment must be deleted with you when you decide to start over.

7.  Having a third party help you break the rules of alt-abuse.  If a third party does help, they will suffer the same consequences as you.

8.  Gold counts same as equipment and is illegal to be passed on to one of your own chars to another.

9.  Using out of character (ooc) information or friendships is alt abuse.
The character is it’s own person with no connection to ooc matters.  Thus, if the character is gaining benefits (including receiving eq, gold, or special favours) because you are friends in real life or you play another character on the mud it is abuse punishable by vape for both you and the person helping you.

In general, if you are in anyway helping one of your characters with another or with ooc information/friendships, you are breaking the rules.  That is punishable by Vape.

We can and will snoop to verify the alt-abuse rules are being followed.
